N. CURRIER (Publisher, 19th Century) “THE LAST WAR-WHOOP”. Large color folio print shows cowboy on brown horse with revolver in hand looking down at Indian with hand to mouth, black horse beside. After a painting by A. F. Tait and lithographed by N. Currier, N. York, Dated 1856. Print is housed in a period gilt molded wood frame. REFERENCE: Conningham No. 3457. Companion to “The Pursuit”. SIGHT SIZE: 21-3/4” x 28”. CONDITION: Two vertical foxing lines and brown toning to margins. Colors are still strong. Un-restored, no tears, not laid down. 9-92530 (1,500-2,000)
