ART NOUVEAU STYLE PORCELAIN FAN-SHAPED WALL POCKET. Polychrome-painted and decorated fan-shaped wall pocket depicting a butterfly and flowering plant, mounted on a majolica-form tree branch with a white crane perched on the side hunting an insect. Marked on the reverse of the tree branch with an underglaze anchor mark of unidentified origin, possibly Chelsea, early 20th century. SIZE: 13-1/4″ overall h. x 10″ w. x 4-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Tip of fan handle and section of lower branch restored and repainted, hairline crack on inside of pocket, not visible on exterior. Length of repair: approx. 2-1/4″. 9-92592 (500-800)
