SIR WILLIAM RUSSELL FLINT (British, 1880-1969) “DIAPHENIA & HAZEL”. Tempera painting shows an interior setting with two nudes. One is a blonde haired woman seated on a red cushion with colorful throws beside her. Another woman is seated on cloth adjusting a tabletop oval mirror. Gold colored curtains surround a gray light colored background. Signed lower left “W. Russell Flint”. Housed in a fine gilt carved wood frame with linen matte. Archival frame which has a copy of the writing on the back with title and artist name. Also “Exhibited at RA 1939” (Exhibited at the Royal Academy in London). An outstanding example of this artist’s work. SIGHT SIZE: 19-1/2” x 26-1/2”. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 9-26618 (50,000-60,000)
