Engraved by John Hill after a painting by William Guy Wall. This is No. 17 of the Hudson River Portfolio. The Hudson River Portfolio is considered by many to be the greatest American color plate book of the Century. Published in the United States, it was a collaboration between the engraver, John Hill, and the artist, William Guy Wall. Housed in a wood molded frame. SIZE: 16-1/2” h x 24-3/4” w (actual print size, examined out of frame). SIGHT SIZE: 14-3/4” x 22”. CONDITION: Bottom margin legend has been cut and separated. Mounted on board and glued to matte.
