SIGNED WITH INITIALS (American, 19th/20th Century) AMONGST THE ICEBERGS. Oil on canvas scene shows tall snow covered icebergs/mountains with open blue ocean having three sailing ships. Signed lower right “L.G.”. Housed in a gold painted gesso decorated frame. Back of stretcher has a partial Philadelphia Framing Label. An interesting subject matter with great primitive qualities. SIZE: 20” x 24”. CONDITION: Old patch to left side, some surface grime, very good. Gesso damage to frame. 9-93832 (1,500-2,500)
