SIX CARVED AND PAINTED WOODEN AIRPLANE WHIRLIGIGS. First half 20th century. The first and largest, a single propeller model painted red, white and blue. The second, a four engine biplane decorated with a bird on the tail fin. The third, a three engine whimsical bomber in red and white paint. The fourth, a blue and white biplane with pilot. The fifth, a green seaplane. The last and smallest, a single engine high wing example in mustard paint. SIZE: From 44″-11″ l. PROVENANCE: Barbara J. Thornsjo Estate, Albion, Maine CONDITION: All retain original paint. Most in need of some degree of restoration. 9-20845 (400-600)
