CYLINDRICAL WALL MOUNT BARBER’S POLE. Late 19th, early 20th century. Carved from the solid, the pole with alternating red and white spiral twist stripes continuing to a turned section in blue paint with white 5-pointed stars surmounted by a giltwood ball finial and mounted with a wrought iron bracket. SIZE: 42″ h overall. PROVENANCE: Barbara J. Thornsjo Estate, Albion, Maine. CONDITION: Retains original painted surfaces, now crusty and weathered. Structurally very good. 9-20801 (400-600)
