EARLY AMERICAN NEW ENGLAND PINE TAVERN TABLE IN ORIGINAL PAINT. Late 18th century. The rectangular scrubbed pine top with breadboard ends projecting above the conforming frieze raised on splayed ring-turned swelled cylindrical legs joined by baluster turned box stretcher terminating in ball feet. SIZE: 25″ h x 28-1/2″ l x 18-1/2″ w. PROVENANCE: Barbara J. Thornsjo Estate, Albion, Maine CONDITION: This example appears to be all original and with original early paint. Top and apron are white pine. Legs and stretchers are maple or birch. 9-20814 (400-600)
