MICHAEL ASCHENBRENNER “DAMAGED BONES”. Fantastic grouping by Michael Aschenbrenner entitled “Damaged Bones” consists of fifteen hand blown glass depictions of various human bones that are wrapped with sticks and cloth as if to be splinted broken bones. The Damaged Bones series was inspired by wounds the artist suffered while serving in Vietnam. Other examples of the Damaged Bones series are displayed at the Metropolitan Museum as well as other museums around the world. SIZE: Individual bones range from 12″ to 36″ l.
