LATE 19TH CENTURY CHILKAT CHILD’S BLANKET. The piece made with cedar bark and mountain goat wool, circa late 19th century. The central weave with nine emblems including a central totem design of a brown bear, and five kayak-type emblems. Colors in yellow, blue, brown and white. The piece bordered on three sides with long fringe. SIZE: Without fringe: 12″ x 25″. With fringe: 21″ x 27″ CONDITION: In fragile condition, with losses, some repair, generally in tact, but sold as found. 9-90317 (2,000-4,000)
