FANBACK WINDSOR SIDECHAIR. Last quarter 18th century, New England. This nice example in maple and ash of typical form, with serpentine crest joined to seven swelled spindles, above a shaped saddle seat. Raised on splayed turned legs, joined by a swelled H-form stretcher. SIZE: 36″ h of back. 16″ h of seat. CONDITION: Structurally good, with early surfaces, showing traces of red paint beneath. 9-27517 (200-300)
