AMERICAN WINDSOR BOWBACK SIDE CHAIR. Late 18th century, probably Rhode Island. The seven unusual turned spindles joined to the molded bowback joined to a shaped pine saddle seat, raised on four splayed simulated bamboo legs, joined by a swelled H-form stretcher. SIZE: 36″ h of back. 16″ h of seat. CONDITION: With old repair to back, proper right side, at seat. And repair to seat in same area. Generally fair to good. 9-27557 (250-350)
