PAUL DESIRE TROUILOLEBERT (French, 1829-1900) “TWO’S COMPANY WHILE ONE’S NOT”. Oil on canvas shows a well dressed woman in summer outfit seated on a stone wall resting her head on her hand looking down at a dog. A large tree shades the scene. A small brook with bridge is seen on the right side and wild flowers dot the ground. Signed lower left. Housed in a gold painted gesso decorated antique frame. SIZE: 16” x 22”. CONDITION: Craquelure, patch to reverse with inpainting with heavy varnish layer. Good. 9-72923 (6,000-8,000)
