BROOKS & SOPER PATENT MODEL FOR A BURGLAR ALARM. Cal. 32. 2″ part octagonal bbl. Oscar Brooks worked in Jamesville, Wisconsin, from 1866 to 1879. R. W. Soper is known to have work in Sioux City, Iowa, and Eureka, California, but is not known to have been in Wisconsin. Patent 66,457 was issued July 9, 1867. The side of the alarm is engraved in script “Brooks & Soper / Jamesville. / Wis.” CONDITION: Generally fine. Light spotting on all parts. Mechanically excellent. 4-52951 FS220 (1,000-1,500)
