GEORGE III FLAME-MAHOGANY DOME TOP DECANTER BOX. Last quarter 18th century. The D-form hinged lid revealing a lined divided interior housing six gilt decorated decanters with lobed stoppers. The lid interior lined and fitted with a rack to house two stemmed cordial glasses. SIZE: h. 8-3/4″ x w. 10″ d. 6-3/4″ CONDITION: Retains original surfaces with dark patina. The decanters retain original gilt decoration and stoppers. One stem with chip on rim. Box with shrinkage cracks it seams and veneer loss to proper right front corner of case. 9-99594 (1,000-1,500)
