FIVE ENAMELED COMPACTS. Four of the compacts show couples or groups in various country settings with guilloche enamel backgrounds framing the picture and covering the underside. The fifth compact has a center design of a period couple walking through a garden. The picture is framed by openwork metal filigree which extends on to the faux tortoise shell body. The faux tortoise shell compact has a puff, the other four have neither puff or powder. SIZE: Ranges from 2-1/8″ to 3-1/8″ dia. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Geraldine Gaba, Scottsdale, AZ. CONDITION: The largest compact has some damage to enamel edge and the mirror is cracked, otherwise good. 5-68287-7 (400-600)
