NEW ENGLAND SHERATON CHILD’S FANCY CHAIR. First quarter 19th century,probably Maine. The double arched foliate carved crest rail above a conforming slat, joined to ring-turned styles, centering a woven rush seat, raised on turned frontal legs, joined by a double box stretcher. SIZE: 25″ back height, 12″ seat height CONDITION: In very good untouched condition, retaining red and black grained paint, overcoated with old, crusty varnished surfaces. Seat retains original yellow paint, seat with minor losses. 9-27812 (600-900)
