REVERSE PAINTED TABLE LAMP. Very pretty table lamp is both reverse and obverse painted with a reverse painted scene of a moonlit winter landscape with a snow covered ground and mountains, trees and stream in the foreground. Shade is obverse painted with depiction of snow on the trees and along the banks of the stream. Shade rests on a decorative metal base with vertical ribbing on the foot and an ivy-type plant climbing to a ball in the center of the riser. Lamp is finished with a two socket cluster and matching heat cap. Unsigned. SIZE: Shade is 16″ dia. Lamp is 22-1/2″ t. PROVENANCE: From a private Virginia collection. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent with some minor wear to finish on base. Socket cluster and bell appear to be replacements. 5-60406 (600-1,000)
