BRITISH MAHOGANY TWO PART CAMPAIGN CHEST WITH DESK. First quarter 19th century. In two parts, the upper case with rectangular molded top fitted with a pair of deep aligned short drawers. The proper left drawer with hinged front opening to a baise writing surface. The interior fitted with an arrangement of three figured maple drawers above a line of valanced cubbyholes, Over a single long drawer and fitted to the conforming lower case of two long drawers. Raised on suppressed turned spool feet. The whole fitted with recessed campaign brass hardware. The case ends with cast brass carrying handles. SIZE: 47″ h x 44″ w x 22″ d. CONDITION: With good cleaned polished surfaces, original hardware, feet and back boards. Professional restoration above two top drawers. Nice patina with medium brown tones. 9-21533 (3,000-5,000)
