THOMAS H. WILLIS (American, 1850-1925) TAN HULLED SCHOONER. Needlework, silk, velvet and oil on canvas nautical scene shows a single tan hulled two-mast schooner sailing right to left flying American flag. Green ocean with blue sky and white clouds. Housed in its original black painted shadowbox frame with gold liner and behind glass (one molding edge missing). SIZE: 16″ x 20″. Overall is 20-3/4″ x 24-3/4″. PROVENANCE: Richard Paine Estate, Seal Cove, Maine. CONDITION: Horizontal separations in sails, some surface dirt, front sail with water stain. Otherwise good. 9-92547 (800-1,200)
