REMINGTON DOUBLE ACTION BELT MODEL REVOLVER. Cal. 36 Perc. SN 2441. Blued finish, 6-3/8” oct bbl with two line bbl marking, listing two of Riders’ patents. Pinched front sight, silvered brass triggerguard, 2-pc smooth walnut grips. There is an “E” on left side of triggerguard & a “W” on cyl. Revolver was apparently made after Civil War & used double action war time bbl since markings are “REMINGTONS’” which was the markings on bbls of early double action fluted cylinder revolvers. It appears orig bbl number was “111” and was re-stamped “2441” by Remington. The double action of this revolver is working condition, which is not common to these DA belt models. CONDITION: Good. Strong traces of orig blue on bbl, enhanced finish on frame, cyl, & loading lever. Triggerguard has about half the silver remaining. Grips have been refinished over worn spots. 4-59401 JH94 (750-1,250)
