TIFFANY STUDIOS ABALONE PICTURE FRAME. Handsome large frame with oval opening has polychrome highlights with an Art Deco grape pattern using Abalone disks. Signed “Tiffany Studios New York 1171”. According to the book Tiffany Desk Sets by William R. Holland, abalone desk pieces with this polychrome finish are a premium item, with the picture frame itself being a rare desk piece. SIZE: 10″ t x 7″ w. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with one small set screw missing to rear of frame. Clear glass insert is also missing. 5-61533 (4,500-5,500)
