FINE AMERICAN CASED SHIP MODEL. Late 19th century. The three-masted fully rigged ship, carved and assembled in mahogany with planked deck construction, the solid hull painted forest green beneath the waterline. Within a custom mahogany and glass display case. Accompanied by a photo of a ship model of the A. G. Ropes, of Bath, Maine, built in 1894, the model made by James E. Creighton. The two models with many similarities. SIZE: 20″ overall h. x 30″ overall l. x 12″ d. PROVENANCE: From a fine Beacon Hill and Thomaston estate. CONDITION: Very fine original condition.
