SMITH & WESSON 1ST MODEL 1ST ISSUE 4TH TYPE SPUR TRIGGER REVOLVER. Cal. 22 Short. SN 3718. Usual configuration with 3-1/8” keyhole oct bbl with half moon German silver front sight and silver plated rounded brass frame with rosewood grips. CONDITION: Very fine. All matching including the grips. Bbl retains 75-80% original blue, strong and bright on the left side with scattered fine surface rust, thin and fading on the right side. Cylinder is a blue-gray patina. Frame retains about 95% strong original silver plating with only some minor high point wear. Grips are fine and retain 75-80% finish on the left side and about 50% on the right side. Strong bright bore with scattered pitting. Cylinder is a little loose otherwise mechanics are fine. 4-53003 JR681 (750-1,250)
