GURLEY SURVEYOR’S COMPASS AND TRIPOD STAND. Early 20th century, New York. This nice example in working order inscribed on the silvered dial “W. & L.E. Gurley. Troy, N.Y.” Accompanied by its original fitted case, including a brass adapter and brass plumb-bob. The interior of the lid with original Gurley label. The compass is accompanied by a surveyor’s tripod. SIZE: Compass: 6″ overall dia. Dial: 5″ dia. Tripod: 59″ l (closed). CONDITION: Very good with minor and normal wear. 9-28545 (1,500-2,500)
