J.A. WHALEY LEADED TULIP FLOOR LAMP. Massive leaded shade is decorated with nine large tulip flowers in golden yellow striated glass which are set against a green background that represents the foliage of the flowers. The background glass has beautiful blues and teals and goes as light as spring green which gives the shade a wonderful three dimensional appearance. The shade ends with rectangular shaped green glass panels. A similar but smaller example may be found in the book Mosaic Shades Vol. 2 by Paul Crist, page 101. Supporting the shade is a large six socket, ribbed shaft floor base. The bottom of the base is decorated with a ribbed padded foot and lamp is completed with a top cap. SIZE: Shade 24″ dia. Overall 69″ t. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent with a few cracked panels. Base is very good to excellent with replaced heat cap. 5-68791 (5,000-8,000)
