REMINGTON NEW MODEL NAVY COMMERCIAL MODEL PERCUSSION REVOLVER. Cal. 36 Perc. SN 35759. Blued finish, 7-3/8” oct bbl with standard three line markings, pinched front sight, silvered brass triggerguard, 2-pc smooth walnut grips. This revolver was produced at the end of the Civil War circa 1865/66. It is a typical commercial model in that it has a silvered triggerguard and varnished grips. “C” stamped on left side of frame & triggerguard. This is the only large frame Civil War revolver that Remington continued to produce after the end of the war and later they were produced as cartridge conversions in 38 RF & CF. CONDITION: Good. Traces of orig blue, but mostly blue/brown patina enhanced. Grips have been revarnished. Action is good. Bore is lightly pitted. 4-59374 JH131 (1,250-1,750)
