FINE SHIRAZ ORIENTAL RUG, SOUTHWEST PERSIA. Circa 1920. With five rows of large Botehs in the “mother-daughter” design, small Botehs are joined to the larger. Botehs alternating in brick red and indigo on a midnight blue field with animals and dense flower heads within multiple guard borders of geometric devices. SIZE: 4′ 4-1/2″ l x 8′ 2″ w. PROVENANCE: From a fine New Jersey home. CONDITION: Generally with even wear, some foundation exposed at one end with some losses to salvage. Overall good. 9-24554 (2,000-4,000)
