FULL BODIED COPPER RUNNING HORSE WEATHERVANE, “DEXTER”. Late 19th century, Massachusetts, possibly Harris & Co. This example with verdigris surfaces and with sheet copper ears and mane, joined to a rod. Now offered on a museum stand. SIZE: 16-3/4″ h x 30-1/4″ l. CONDITION: With multiple bullet holes and seam separations, notably to head and forelegs. Also with damages to top of head at seams and with losses and damage to proper right foreleg. Also with several old patches and repairs. Overall fair condition. 9-27887 (1,500-2,500)
