WILLIAM IV CARVED MAHOGANY BEAU BRUMMEL. Second quarter 19th century. The partitioned top, hinged at the sides, opening above the case, fitted with a telescoping dressing mirror and with circular cutouts for wash basin, soap dish, toiletry bottles, etc. The case front with a short sham drawer above a covered door over a sliding section with sham drawer fronts sliding out on four cylindrical legs containing a fitting for a bidet. The front decorated with reeded pilasters, the case sides with flat panels, the whole on 8 cylindrical legs with ring turned ankles. SIZE: 33-3/4″ h x 20-3/4″ w x 22-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Structurally very good, retaining early mirror plate. The whole refinished. 9-98152 (1,500-2,500)
