FINE SET OF 17 DRESDEN GILT DECORATED SERVICE PLATES. First quarter 20th century. These fine 9-1/2″ examples with broad scrolling gilt decorated foliate borders additionally decorated with turquoise and coral pointilated flower heads. The center of the plate with scrolled monogram within a border or floral garlands. All on an ivory ground. Underside marked overglaze “Richard Wehsener/Dresden”. SIZE: As noted above. CONDITION: Gilt surfaces show minor surface scratches from light usage. No chips, cracks or other imperfections noted. Very good overall. 9-20673 (2,000-3,000)
