TWO AMERICAN BRACEBACK WINDSOR SIDE CHAIRS. Late 18th century, New England. Each braceback with incised and molded edges joined to nine spindles, joined to shaped saddle seats. Each on baluster-turned splayed legs, joined by swelled H-form stretcher SIZE: 36″ h of back. 16″ h of seat. CONDITION: One with old repairs to bowback. The second with unusual “donut” repairs to seat at legs. Both with later surfaces, otherwise good. 9-27515 (600-700)
