WILLIAM AND MARY PINE GATELEG TABLE. 18th century. The rectangular plank top with hinged demilune leaves projecting above the conforming frieze fitted with a single drawer at the end. Raised on blocked and cannon barrel cylindrical legs joined by an H-form stretcher, each side with conforming gate. SIZE: 27-3/4″ h. Top (closed): 43″ x 22″. Top (open): 43″ x 64″. PROVENANCE: From a fine coastal Westerly, RI estate. CONDITION: With old worn and patinated surfaces and with original hardware and drawer. Underside of planks on top with minimal old insect bores.
