LARGE AMERICAN NEEDLEWORK SAMPLER BY ANN M. COWELL 1824. The sampler having ten alpha-numeric rows surrounded by a blue chain, below which is “ANN M. COWELL BORN AUGUST THE 21 1824 AGED 8″ below which are two baskets and a flower. An interesting three sided border with a zig-zag having flowers. Housed in a lemon-gold frame with glass. Found in Maine. SIZE: Sight: 23-1/2″ x 17″. Overall: 26-1/2″ x 20”. CONDITION: Some loss to border flowers, fading, otherwise good. 9-90315 (600-900)
