FINE MASSACHUSETTS SHERATON INLAID MAHOGANY CARD TABLE. Second quarter 19th century. North Shore, Massachusetts. Rectangular hinged top with half-serpentine ends, serpentine front and ovolo corners. Edges with rosewood cross banding. Conforming apron with rectangular bird’s-eye maple panels all with rosewood and figured mahogany cross banding raised on tapering, cylindrical, reeded legs with ring-turned cuffs and swelled feet. SIZE: 30-3/4″ h x 38″ w x 19″ d. CONDITION: Top with slight bowing, shrinkage crack and splice repair to top at hinge on proper right side and with some staining right front corner facing. 9-23936 (3,500-4,500)
