MINIATURE PORTRAIT JEWELRY. Two miniature portrait brooches; one lady’s portrait on ivory showing lady in purple dress with flowered head band. Portrait is housed in a 14kt yellow gold frame with pendant/brooch back. The second is an early gentleman’s portrait on ivory. Gentleman is wearing a powdered wig and maroon coat. Portrait is housed in an unmarked pink gold frame with pin back. Lot continues with two portrait pendants; first having a portrait on front and back with unmarked pink gold frame with twisted border and leaf covered loop suspended on a heavy 14kt (tested) yellow gold chain. The final pendant has lady’s portrait which has considerably faded but shows lady in large hat with plume and pink dress with lace collar. The portrait is framed in a pink gold mounting with rose cut diamonds surrounding the portrait. Marked on the back with applied tag “Hammersmith & Field S.F. Cal.”. Pendant is suspended from a contemporary sterling silver chain. SIZE: Large brooch is 2-1/2″ x 1-3/4″. Small pendant is 1″ dia. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Geraldine Gaba, Scottsdale, AZ.
