UNUSUAL PAINTED TRAIN STATION SIGN. Late 19th early 20th Century. Washington State. The “Old Betsy” run between Yakima and Tacoma on the coast of Puget Sound in Washington State is depicted here by a small steam engine with two cars, each marked “LAKE PARK AND COLUMBIA R.R.” traveling through a valley, a large resort and mountain in the background landscape, within a painted cartouche titled “OLD BETSY”. Oil on pressed board. SIZE: 49-1/2″ h x 99″ l. CONDITION: Painted surface is good but with lifting to laminated surface of pressed board.
