SET OF SIX AMERICAN FIGURED MAPLE URN-BACK SIDE CHAIRS. Second quarter 19th century, probably Pennsylvania. Each arched crestrail joined to an urn form splat above the trapezoidal caned seat raised on frontal saber legs with incurved front stretcher, the rear legs backswept, all with strong birdseye and tiger maple graining. SIZE: 32″ h of back, 17-1/2″ h of seat. CONDITION: One with damage to urn splat. Two with damage to cane seat. All with old surfaces in need of repolishing. 9-20452 (800-1,200)
