HANDEL CRANE TABLE LAMP. Absolutely one of the rarest bird lamps known to exist, this lamp is reverse painted with a single crane on three sides. The crane, which is painted in white, sienna and has black outline is shown in various stages of flight. The trees are painted from the upper rim to the bottom in brown with much lush tropical foliage in earthen hues. The shade is supported by a three column art nouveau base with three sockets, acorn pull chains, top cap, and finial all resting on a round marble circular foot. This lamp is a gem and is original from top to bottom. The shade is signed “Handel 7029” as well as “Handel Lamps Pat’d No. 979664”. SIZE: Shade 18″ diameter. Lamp 24″ t.
