FINE WILLIAM BATEMAN SILVER CHAMBERSTICK WITH SNUFFER. Circa 1813-14. The rectangular urn form stick with conforming bobeche joined to a tray, all with gadrooned edges. The conical snuffer joined to the C-scrolled thumb grip. The bobeche, snuffer and underside of chamberstick all with the marks of William Bateman. SIZE: 4-3/4″ h overall x 6″ l x 5-3/4″ w overall. CONDITION: Snuffer with horizontal crease 1/2″ below finial. Chamberstick tray with pinprick at 10:00 midpoint of tray. Otherwise very good. 9-20119 (500-700)
