RARE MILITARY MARKED REMINGTON BEALS NAVY MODEL 5TH VARIATION PERCUSSION REVOLVER. Cal. 36 Perc. SN 14204. Blued finish, 7-1/2” oct bbl with crisp markings, dovetail cone front sight, brass triggerguard, 2-pc smooth walnut grips with a “CGC” cartouche. About 3,000 of these 5th variation models were produced. This is one of approx. 500 purchased under military contract circa 1862, making it a rare piece. CONDITION: Good. Smooth brown enhanced patina. Dark patina on triggerguard. Casehardening colors on hammer have silvered out. Bore is lightly pitted, mechanically fine. 4-59383 JH126 (1,500-2,500)
