EXCEPTIONAL LARGE DOUBLE-SIDED GAMEBOARD. Late 19th century, American. This oversized gameboard with Parcheesi on one side and Checkers on reverse. The Parcheesi game in bold seven color design, the reverse painted in a checkerboard with black and red squares within a cream white field. The laminated wood gameboard within a chamfered wood frame. SIZE: 31″ x 31″. PROVENANCE: Ex-Selby Shaver collection. CONDITION: Untouched painted surfaces remain bold with very minor surface abrasion, slight craquelure on checkerboard.
