INCREDIBLE WINCHESTER 1886 DELUXE LEVER ACTION RIFLE. SN 48347. Cal. 45-90. 26″ half-octagon bbl, half magazine, fine bead front sight, serrated side sporting rear with set screw, and course knurl post tang mounted sight. Mounted with XX quality walnut, H-style checkered forend, and black insert serpentine pistol grip stock with crescent buttplate. Accompanied with Cody Firearms Museum letter fully identifying gun as 45-90, half-octagon bbl, plain trigger, checkered stock with pistol grip, Lyman front and rear sights, half magazine, received in warehouse September 21, 1890 and shipped September 29, 1890 on order number 17837. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine. Bbl retains 98-99% strong original factory blue with a few tiny scattered freckles of light surface rust. Receiver retains virtually all of its brilliant original case colors as well as hammer, lever and buttplate. Stock and forend have some minor handling marks and a couple of minor nicks and dings and retain virtually all of original piano varnish finish.
