MASSACHUSETTS CHIPPENDALE MAHOGANY OXBOW CHEST OF DRAWERS. Second half of the 18th Century. Rectangular molded top with reverse serpentine front projecting above the conforming case fitted with four reverse serpentine graduated drawers on a molded base raised on ogee bracket feet with scalloped returns. SIZE: 32-1/2″ h x case w 34-3/4″ x 23″ d. CONDITION: Chest with professionally repolished older surfaces, retaining original backboards with restoration to proper right rear foot. Glue blocks all old if not original with quality brass replacement hardware, redrilled. Overall with very nice color and patina. 9-98097 (12,000-16,000)
