*SCARCE LATE 1ST GENERATION DUAL-CALIBER MARKED COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER. SN 352982. Cal. 44 Russian & Special. Blue & color case hardened with 7-1/2″ bbl, full front sight and 1-line block letter address. Left side of bbl is marked “RUSSIAN AND / S & W SPECIAL 44”. Left side of frame has 2-line, 3-patent dates and rampant Colt without circle. Mounted with rampant Colt hard rubber grips. SN was observed on bottom of frame & right side of trigger guard & back strap, under grip, with last two digits of SN on rear face of cylinder. It is unknown just how many of these scarce revolvers were manufactured with this bbl marking but they are quite scarce and seldom encountered. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine, pristine new. Appears to be unfired. Overall retains virtually all of its crisp orig factory finish with only a faint sharp edge wear on left edge of muzzle and tip of ejector rod housing, probably from sliding around a drawer. Frame & hammer retain virtually all of their brilliant factory case colors, slightly faded on recoil shield, loading gate & top edge of hammer. Back strap finish is slightly dulled. Cyl retains virtually all of its orig factory blue and appears to be unfired. Grips are crisp with no visible flaws. Crisp mechanics, brilliant shiny bore. A truly new & unfired single action. 4-40147 JR109 (25,000-35,000)
