UNUSUAL QUEEN ANNE CARVED MAHOGANY TILT-TOP TEA TABLE. 2nd half 18th century. The rectangular figural top with canted corners and serpentine sides, the edges with deep foliate carving, tilting above a baluster-turned acanthus-carved shaft, raised on a tripod cabriole leg base with acanthus-carved knees, terminating in pointed platform pad feet. SIZE: 27-1/4″ h. x 27-3/4″ l. x 20″ w. CONDITION: Very nice structural condition. Figured top with rich color, pedestal retaining old if not original surfaces. One leg with old iron bracing of old repair, platform of pad foot a later addition. Tabletop with old splice repair to underside of lower edge of top. 9-99625 (800-1,200)
