RARE REDWARE SLIP-DECORATED CHARGER. 2nd half 18th century. This example with extensive yellow slip wavy-line decorations, now oxidized, and coggled rim. Attached to underside is old paper label which reads in script: “This splendid platter is true colonial – Auntie Milo bought it in Conn. and I believe it is a Conn. colonial ware.” SIZE: 2″ h. x 15″ dia. CONDITION: Yellow slip oxidized as mentioned, with old minor chipping on coggled rim. With very good tobacco brown patina. Underside of base with old shallow pitting.
