TIFFANY STUDIOS TURTLEBACK DESK LAMP. Double turtleback desk lamp begins with two turtle tiles with heavily iridized coloration. When unlit appears blue, purple and green, but when lit, turns a warm mottled gold hue. The two turtleback tiles have two cased liners which give the lamp a finished look, but also makes for appropriate illumination so that this lamp is both beautiful and functional by directing the light downward. These turtlebacks are held in place by a heavily ornate support system which is held in place by two arms arising from a decorated jeweled platform foot. The entire lamp carries a desirable chocolate brown with hint of green patina finish. The lamp is completed with jewels in the base that compliment the turtleback tiles perfectly as well as a single acorn pull. Signed on the underside “Tiffany Studios New York 28632″ and has the Tiffany Glass & Decorating logo. SIZE: 14” t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-69578 (15,000-20,000)
