FINE HAND PAINTED SCENIC FAN. Total of 18 sticks in bone/ivory with pierced and painted scroll and flower decoration. Painted paper scene having two groups of armed explorers meeting in an expansive landscape. Dress appears to be in the 15th or 16th Century style. Fan is signed “Romand”. Back side having a landscape with three trees, fence and sky. 19th/20th Century. SIZE: Closed is 10-1/4”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-73842-1 (200-400)
