TWO SIDED TRADE SIGN. Last quarter 19th century, American. This nice example of a cobbler’s two sided trade sign painted on board, one side with the name “O.M. TURNER.” above a boot and a lady’s shoe, the word “REPAIRING” at the base. The opposing side similarly decorated. All on a black sand painted ground within a simple pine box frame. SIZE: 23-3/4″ h overall x 15-1/2″ w. CONDITION: Structurally good. One side with better retained decorated surfaces. The sign with abrasions and weathering commensurate with age and usage. 9-27059 (6,000-8,000)
